Some people say he's laughing because he enjoys it, but uncontrollable laughter is actually a common reaction when in fear of death. I forgot which article I read about this, but when you can't do anything but watch in a terrible situation, you tend to laugh. That's why some people also start to laugh while or after crying, desperate states of mind trigger some kind of contrary reaction. Sorry for my English, it's not my mothertongue

For everyone's information, the tsunami wave that the Japanese ship rode through was the wave of 3.11 Great East Japan earthquake which had a magnitude of 9.0, the biggest earthquake ever recorded in Japan. Over 20000 people perished in this tsunami and fires that followed. Considering this significance, there's no doubt that this one gets number 1 on the list.

I'd love to hear from a captain how it feels to sail through an 100ft wave. Incredible.

When I see that clip of Japanese sailors going over the Tsunami, I get goosebumps... Also, It's a bit sad. They probably realized what would happen when that massive thing hit land and their families and friends are still there..
