I love that your are bringing a positive awareness to the sharks. They need all the protection they can get.

The sea is salty because of the tears of misunderstood sharks who just want a hug.

Bull sharks have the highest levels of testosterone out of any animal. Don't know where that fits in the conversation, I just think it's interesting.

sharks have been my favourite animal since i was a child. seeing you feeding the "most dangerous shark in the world" was very amazing. since i never truely believed they attacked people for no reason.

You're a braver man than I could ever hope to be, Mr. Bird. I have a quick question, what's the scariest fish and or sea creature you've encountered so far in your career ?

It is never a good idea for a wild animal to associate people with food. Considering the fact that playa del Carmen is near Cancun where u have thousands of tourists bathing on a daily basis, it can be an invitation to disaster. You never want a wild animal to lose fear of people.

It's kind of amazing that humans have created dedicated equipment specifically for diving underwater with large predators, lol! I also experienced a flash of joy when I immediately knew that the probe sample would be used for stable isotope analysis when Jonathan said it would tell them what the sharks ate! (I've been learning about stable isotope research in my graduate program.)
